1990- 2005 Private Law Practice in the fields of, Criminal Law, Civil Litigation, Domestic Relations, Elder Law Issues, Real Estate, Trusts and Estates, and Zoning.
1998 Completed 40 hours of Mediation Training with Education and Assistance Corporation in compliance with the New York State Office of Court Administration requirements for community based Mediators.
1998-2004 Volunteer Mediator with the Education and Assistance Corporation Community Based Mediation in the Nassau County District Court 1st District.
2003 Completed 36 hours of Intensive Mediation Training at the Center for Understanding in Conflict and Center for Mediation in Law
2003-Present A participant in ongoing training and development program with the Center for Understanding in Conflict and Center for Mediation in Law.
2008 Founded Smith-Kearns’s Consulting “Dynamic Conflict Resolution” a division devoted to the resolution of conflict.
